This website is under development for Number Eight Tamworth.

Please try later when there is some content here.

I have started to construct this website based on the information provided. We are at the design stage, where we need to pin down colours and general look and feel. I have used the blue in the logo, but this blue in isolation would lead to a bland website. I have introduced a pink colour to complement the blue. The palette I am using is broadly based on these colours and semi transparent (and therefore very light coloured pastel shades) of these.

I need the trustees to look through the site and give an indication if this is the right direction, if it is not the right direction, point me in the right direction. I have used some free stock images that I think work well in the site from Unsplash.com (no costs associated with these, but I will always place the authors name as a credit on the images). You can tell me you wish to use different ones, or use your own.

I am still not sure about the header image. This is derived from a series of images along the street where the house is located. I think a simpler line drawing would be better of generic houses. I have stitched images together and then manipulated them to provide a pale anonymous background to the top of the page. No image at all might be better. For now, I am waiting for feedback on what to do there.

There is quite a few hours work in this site already, largely built in a vacuum, so I am going to leave this with you for now.

I do need the following:

  • Are the use of colours and visual effects, fonts, etc ok? If not let me know where it can be improved and how to improve it.
  • Use of images?  Are these appropriate? If not where do I get them from?
  • More information on the virtual house fundraising graphic/ web page?
  • Do you want a news page (useful for raising awareness, and profile)?
  • Is there a Facebook page?
  • More text needed under volunteering and fundraising which currently share the same page.
  • I need your privacy page
